Objective: To investigate the etiology, early diagnose and treatment of postoperative acute renal failure in patients with primary liver cancer.Methods: Clinical datas of 11 patients with primary liver cancer who suffered postoperative acute renal failure were retrospectively analyzed from 2006 to 2007 in our hospital. We summarize the etiology, early diagnose and treatment of this postoperative complication.Results: The etiology of postoperative acute renal failure in patients with primary liver cancer includes hypotension because of intraoperative or postoperative hemorrhoea, renal hypoperfusion, old age, hepatitis B virus associated-glomerulonephritis, deficiency of fluid, hepatorenal syndrome.Conclutions: There are evident risk factors in the patients with primary liver cancer who suffered postoperative acute renal failure. The patients should be obeserved carefully in perioperative period. If we diagnose and deal with promptly, we can save the patients' lives.
