Objective To investigate the expression and significance of CD4+CD25+CD127lowTreg cells in the peripheral blood in patients with hematological malignancies and to probably find a new immunological treatment for those with hematological malignancies. Methods The frequency of CD4+CD25+CD127lowTreg cells in the peripheral blood of 60 patients with hematological malignancies and in 10 healthy controls was determined by flow cytometry. Results In the results,we concluded that the frequency of CD4+CD25+CD127lowTreg cells expressed on hematological malignancies(n=42)(17.48±6.26%)was higher than that of normal adults(n=10)(5.75±0.56%).There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).The frequency of CD4+CD25+CD127lowTreg cells on patients with leukemia(n=22)(20.45±6.25%),lymphoma(n=11)(14.84±5.04%)and multiple myeloma(MM)(n=9)(13.48±3.85%)was significantly higher than that of control. There was significant difference between each group and control(P<0.01). Conclusions We observed a significant increase in CD4+CD25+CD127lowTreg cells in peripheral blood in patients with hematological malignancies and suggested a new immunological treatment for patients with hematological malignancies.
