Clinical Analysis Of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor

Objective: To explore the treatment and prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs).Methods: The clinical and followed data of 90 patients with GIST admitted between March 2002 and May 2007 in Affiliated second Hospital of Zhejiang University medicine college were collected restrospectively, to analyze the clinical feature, treatment and prognosis of GIST.Results: All patient received surgical treatment. Tumor resected completely were performed on 80 patients,which tumor resected partial on 10 patients. According to the Fletcher classification ,58 patients were followed up.the patient 1-year survival rate were 94.7%,3-year survival rate were 82.1% in total.3-year survival rate of hyper-low risk,low risk,intermediate risk,high risk were 100%,91.7%,78.0%,63.8% separately. No significiant differences in sex, age, were existed on univiate analysis. Fletcher classification were unrelated with survival rates for the patients with tumor resected completely on univariate analysis.Conclusions: surgery is still the main treatment for GIST .Compare with low risk,Intermediate and high risk are poor in 3-year survival rate.
