The Clinical Study Of The Therapy Of Yiqihuoxuefang For Chronic Hepatitis B

ObjectiveHepatitis B is a worldwide epidemic caused by viruses.It can cause a wide,formidable and chronic infection.But,there are no specific remedy for this disease.At present, interferon is the preferred remedy,but only 50%patients had responded to the therapy of interferon.At the same time,this therapy can produce a lot of side effect,cost too much and have practical limit.The nucleoside analog will make patients bounce back to bad health if they stop receiving this therapy randomly.This study is to investigate the effec and safety of Yiqihuoxuefang for chronic hepatitis B(CHB).And we will try to make sure that the therapy of Yiqihuoxuefang maybe help the patients with chronic hepatitis B get well.Method60 patients were divided randomly to three groups named Yiqihuoxuefang group, adefovir dipivoxil group and compound group.The Yiqihuoxuefang group was composed of 21 cases,the adefovir dipivoxil group 19 cases and the last 20 Cases.All of the patients of three groups came from the outpatients of the first subsidiary hospital of Chinese medicine university in Guangzhou from Jul 2007 to Jan.2008.All of the three groups accord with the diagnosis standard of chronic hepatitis B.All the patients were observed the change both before and after treatment,such as clinical symptoms,physical signs,virul quantitative levels with hepatitis B virus,hepatic function indexes and so on.Result1.The total efficiency of the Yiqihuoxuefang group was 57.1%.The total efficiency of the adefovir dipivoxil group was 73.7%.And the compound group was 85%.There was no statistical significance between adefovir dipivoxil group and compound group(P＞0.05).But the efficiency was markedly difference from Yiqihuoxuefang group and another two group.So there is symptomatic curative effect on Yiqihuoxuefang therapy and adefovir dipivoxil.Compound group and adefovir dipivoxil group are better than Yiqihuoxuefang group. 2.After treatment,clinical symptoms and physical signs were improved markedly in the three groups(P＜0.01).There was no statistical significance for the three group in the clinical symptoms such as burnout,hypochondriac pain and loss of appetite(P＞0.05). Improvement of abdominal distension,epigastric fullness,dryness of mouth and bitter taste in Yiqihuoxuefang group and compound group was superior to those in adefovir dipivoxil group(P＜0.05).3.The level of the serums ALT,AST decreased significantly in the three groups(P＜0.01). The level of the serums ALT,AST were no statistical significance between Yiqihuoxuefang group and adefovir dipivoxil group(P＞0.05).But the serum ALT and AST in compound group were lower than those in adefovir dipivoxil group and in Yiqihuoxuefang group significantly.So both the Yiqihuoxuefang and adefovir dipivoxil group are effective to lower the serums ALT and AST.If Yiqihuoxuefang was combined with adefovir dipivoxil,the effect of lowering transaminase can be improved.All of the patients of three groups were observed both before treatment and 3,6 months after treatment.The level of the serums ALT,AST decreased gradually during the treatment and the curative effect at a specified future date was better than in the near future.4.Yiqihuoxuefang group of the virus quantities did not decreased significantly (P＞0.05).The other two groups of the virus quantities decreased significantly(P＜0.01).The virus quantities was no significance between adefovir dipivoxil group and compound group after treatment(P＞0.05).But after treatment,the virus quantities of adefovir dipivoxil group and compound group were lower than Yiqihuoxuefang group(P＜0.05).The clearance rates of HBV-DNA and HbeAg of the three group have no significant difference.So both the adefovir dipivoxil group and the compound group can depressthe virus replication.ConclusionYiqihuoxuefang and adefovir dipivoxil can protect the liver,lower ALT,AST,improve syndromes of traditional chinese medicine.Yiqihuoxuefang was better than adefovir dipivoxil on improving syndromes of traditional chinese medicine.Yiqihuoxuefang was the same as adefovir dipivoxil at hepatoprotective effect.After treatment,hepatic function indexes ALT,AST of the two groups decreased significantly.The functions of suppressing viral replication,clearing viral of the adefovir dipivoxil are better than the Yiqihuoxuefang.And adefovir dipivoxil combining with Yiqihuoxuefang was the best on all the functions.
