Mouse Hepatitis virus(MHV) is a common coronavirus of laboratory mice.In order to further understanding the antibody variables on outcome of infection,we used MHV-A59 standard strain to inoculated 6 strains mice(BALB/c,C57,nu/nu,NIH-Ⅲ, IL-4T,IL-10T) in three different paths(belly, nasal, oral). We detected the antibody variables within the next month after inoculation, and we found that seroconversion to MHV does not occur until 5~7days postinfection. After 3 weeks postinfection, the highest IgG level can be detected. The IgM level can be detected after 3 days and reached highest level after 7 days postinfection. We also compared the difference between mice strains and routes of inoculationInbred line mice(BALB/c,C57BL) and immunodificient mice(NIH-Ⅲ, BALB/c-nu/nu) and cytokine deficiency transgenic mice(IL-4T,IL-10T) were inoculated with MHV-A59 via three different routes(nasal, oral, belly).Total RNA were extracted from the liver of mice inoculated on the 3rd,5th,14th,21st and 28th day respectively. RT-PCR method was adopted to detect the infection of MHV-A59.The results showed that MHV were detected earliest in mice inoculated via belly, that is,3 days in inbred line mice and immunodificient mice, and 7 days in transgenic mice.
