OBJECTIVE:1. To investigate the level of health behavior , social support ,self-efficacy and health-value in patients after percutaneous intracoronary stent implantation.2. To analyze the relationship between health behavior and demography, sociology and disease data, social support, self-efficacy, health-value in patients after percutaneous intracoronary stent implantation.3. To develop corresponding nursing strategies for improving patients to take health behavior.METHODS:By the means of convenient sampling, 106 patients after percutaneous intracoronary stent implantation in our hospital from January 2004 to March 2007 were investigated. HPLPⅡ(Health-Promoting Lifestyle ProfileⅡ), SSRS (Social Support Rating Scale), HVS(Health-Value Scale), SES(Self-Efficacy Scale) and the questionnaires about demography, sociology and disease were applied. All data collected were analyzed by the statistical package for social science 13.0.RESULTS:1. The total score of HPLPⅡwas 130.08±21.25(range 84~180).The health behavior level of 47.2% patients was general or worse, and that of 48.1% patients was good, only 4.7% was excellent.2. There was significant difference in the score of health behavior among patients of different age, occupation, marriage state, culture degree, economic status, frequency of chest distress and angina pectoris attacks (P<0.05).3. The health behavior score was positively correlated with self-efficacy,social support and health-value, was negatively correlated with chest distress frequency and marriage state. The"spiritual growth"was positively correlated with self-efficacy and objective social support, was negatively correlated with age and gender. The"Health responsibility"was positively correlated with self-efficacy and health-value.The"Physical Activity"was positively correlated with health-value and was negatively correlated with frequency of chest distress and angina pectoris attacks, occupation. The"Nutrition"was positively correlated with age and self-efficacy, was negatively correlated with occupation and marriage state. The"Interpersonal Relations"was positively correlated with self-efficacy, economic status and subjective social support, was negatively correlated with age and chest distress frequency. The"Stress Management"was positively correlated with self-efficacy and subjective social support, was negatively correlated with marriage state.CONCLUSION:1. The health behavior level in patients after percutaneous intracoronary stent implantation is not in an ideal state.2. Close correlation existed between the health behavior level and physiological function, psychological state, social adaptation state in patients after percutaneous intracoronary stent implantation. The main related factors of"health behavior"were self-efficacy, chest distress frequency, social support, marriage state and health-value. The patients in a higher level of self-efficacy, health-value and social support take more health behavior. However the patients in a lower level of chest distress frequency take more health behavior. The patients without spouse take less health behavior.3. It is important for nurses in hospitals and communities to know the health behavior level of patients after percutaneous intracoronary stent implantation. Medical staff should generally evaluate physiological function, psychological state and social adaptation state, can take some nursing interventions and help patients learn and grasp correlated knowledge and skills, in order to promote the patients to take health behavior, adjust mental status and recover from illness according to the related influencing factors.
