Objective To detect the STD(Sexually Transmitted Disease) pathogen such as Chlamydia Trachomatis(CT),gonococcus(GC), Herpes Simplex VirusⅡ(HSV-Ⅱ)and Human Papilloma Virus(HPV)by Fluorescent Quatitative PCR(FQ-PCR)so as to evaluate the clinical application value of FQ-PCR.Meanwhile,to analyze the infective and epidemic condition of these four common STDs so as to provide evidence for the prophylaxis and treatment. Methods 420 subjects were randomly picked up from patients with suspected STD infection in dermatologic and venereal clinic of Xiangya hospital. The CT,GC,HSV-Ⅱ,HPV were detected by FQ-PCR. The cervix and vagina secretion were both detected in female patients. The infective and epidemic condition was analyzed from the results of detection and inspection. The significance of differences were analyzed by groupedχ~2 test and pairedχ~2 test. All the results were analyzed by SPSS 13.0.Results The total pathogen detection rate of 482 suspected STD patients was 57.86%.The detection rate of 282 male specimens was 23.76%,12.06%,8.16%,11.7%respectively,the detection rate of cervix secretion from 138 female specimens was 18.12%,23.19%,9.42%, 11.59%respectively,the detection rate of vagina secretion from 138 female specimens was 21.01%,20.9%,7.97%,8.70%respectively.The GC detection rate was significantly higher in female specimens than in male specimens(χ~2=8.669,df=1,P=0.003).There were no significant difference in other pathogen detection rate between male and female specimens(All p>0.05).There was no significant difference in the detection rates between cervix and vagina secretion(χ~2=1.086,df=3, P=0.781).The detection rate of two or more mixed pathogen infection was 13.81%.Conclusions1,The application of FQ-PCR in detecting mutiple pathogen was appropriate for clinical and epidemic survey.2,The detection rates of CT,GC,HSV-Ⅱ,HPV in cervix and vagina secretion using FQ-PCR showed no significant difference, and were in well concordance.3,The detection rate of CT was the highest among four STDs.The major mixed infection was two pathogen mixed infection.
