This thesis involves two main Parts as follows:Part one:Studies on some plants of Celastraceae FamilySeven compounds have been isolated from Euonymus giraldii and the seeds of Euonymus bungeanus. The compounds of tanacetene and taraxerone are isolated from this family for the first time.Through analyzing the amino acid and the important element constituents of Euonymus fortunei,Euonymus schensianus,Celastrus angulatus,Euonymus verruco- soides,Euonymus bungeanus and Euonymus japonicus seeds,it is found that the amounts of Arginine and Ge,Se are very high.As we know, Arginine and Ge,Se are beneficial to human being. Then it turns out that the crude extracts of six plants have good antifeedental and pestididal activies to Mythimna separata Walker after determining them.Among the six plant seeds, the seeds of Euonymus bungeanus performs best in above all experiments. The antidiabetes activity of Euonymusfortunei,Celastrus orbiculatus and Euonymus bungeanus' crude extracts are determined, and the SD rat' blood sugar level can be reduced by the extracts.Part two:Studies on the diastereoisomers of podophyllotoxin and their esters by EI-MSAll of the compound are synthesized from podophyllotoxin. From relative abundance of peaks in EI-MS,the 2-stereisomers of podophyllotoxin and its esters can be identified. It is usefull for studies on stereochemistry and structure-activity relationships by EI-MS.
