Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a relatively new technique, which is non-invasive and painless, is used to simulate the central and peripheral neural tissues. The principle is inducing the induced current by external time-varying magnetic fields to stimulate the cerebral cortex neuron and change its function. TMS do not need to contact on the human's body directly during the whole stimulation process, so it is non-invasive, painless, and it can be repeated easily. The magnetic not attenuate evidently. It is more advantage than the tradition electric stimulate. It has been used widely in academic research, diagnoses, therapy and so on.According to the Natural Science Foundation of Hebei Province under Grant E2006000037, fulfilled design the TMS system based on the stimulation analysis of its principle. This paper focuses on the design of TMS system, which includes the master circuit and its control circuit design. Firstly analyzes the basic principle and stimulates it detailed by OrCAD and the reasonable parameters of the TMS was given. Design the charge and discharge circuits. Then design the control circuits, which control the charge and discharge of the TMS and deal the exigencies, are based on the microprocessor. Fulfills the single pulse TMS finally. This paper proposes some ideas to improve the TMS system, which will give new ways to push the development of TMS technology.
