With the development of technology, the intelligent prosthesis has became the reaserch emphases of prosthesis. Its main feature is that it can tune the parameters automatically according to the circumstance. But it can not change according to the frequency of step and angle of the knee. This study treat the single axis drive knee joint as research object, puting forward an idea of active prostheses. Finally the article designed a controller of intelligent artificial knee joint using TMS320F2812 DSP as the processor, utilizing PID fuzzy control method and achieved the goal that the prostheses could simulate healthy limb movement. Active knee joint can provide tow kinds of torque: extend torque and damp torque. Single axis drive knee joint of intelligent prosthesis research is the basic research of intelligent prosthesis knee joint. Multi axises knee joint will be the emphases of research of intelligent prosthesis in the future.Active lower-limb prosthesis knee joint is driven by a DC Servo motor with gearhead. The DC motor rotate speed directly changes the knee joint flexion speed.The angle which the DC motor run pasted is corresponding with the angle which the knee joint.The angle which expectated the knee joint to run across is the angle which needed to control the motor to run across. DSP microprocessor calculate and create DSP code to control the DC motor speed and change the angle of the knee joint.The main content and innovations are shown as follows:1. Control the DC motor to drive the active knee joint by DSP.2. Design and carry out the hardware structure, plot PCB board.and software program of knee joint controller.3. Create explore and debug platform of intelligent prosthesis controller based on MATLAB and DSP.
