Objective To elucidate the renal ischaemia-reperfusion injury in the SD rat resulted in the changes of ultra structure of podocytes.Methods 42 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into seven different groups,as follows:control group and six different doses of reperfusion groups(30 minutes group,60 minutes group,180 minutes group,6h group,12h group,24h group).Observe the changes of renal podocytes ultra structure with electron microscope.Results:Renal ischaemia-reperfttsion injury in the SD rat resulted in the fusions of foot processes of podocytes.The severity of the damage was increasing with reperfusion time before 60 minutes,while the damage was decreasing with reperfusion time after 60 minutes. And at the 60 minutes group,the damage was increased significantly compared with the control group.Conclusions:1.The renal ischaemia-reperfusion injury in the SD rat can result in the changes of renal podocyte shape.2.The degree of damage depends on the reperfusion time.
