| Objective To evaluate the advantages and the experiments of the combined therapy for deformed hand after burn injury,by comparing therapeutic efficacy of the operation combining combined convalescent care with conventional simple instructional convalescent care. Methods From May 2005 to April 2007,48 patients with deformed fingers after burn injury entered the trial followed the unified standard.Therapeutic group(Group A) and control group (Group B),24 patients, respectively. The two groups all had the conventional operation program. After operation,Group A received combined therapy containing pressor therapy, active and passive fingers moving, warm water therapy, occupational therapy et al,and Group B received clinic directed hands functional exercises and pressor therapy with elastic gloves. The follow-up was 2 months for Group A and Group B.Results①The difference of the two groups in the TAM(Total Angle of Motion,TAM) value, when entering, didn't have statistical significance(P>0.05).But,after therapy, the two groups had significant deviation(P<0.05).②The difference of the two groups in the ADL(Activities of Daily Living,ADL) value, when entering, didn't have statistical significance(P>0.05).But,after 3 months curing, the two groups had significant deviation(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined therapy is more effective than the conventional one for the therapy of the deformed fingers after burn injury. |
