Based on the situation of"Man-made"non-antibiotic milk, in which the antibiotic residues were broken down to potassium penicilloicate by some enzymes more often appear in the dairy market. The present paper was conducted to develop methods to indicate the adulterated milk. The microbiological and HPLC metheod were developed to ensure product's quality. The results showed that two methods for the determination of"Man-made"non-antibiotic milk were both effective. The microbiological method has advantages of high identification rate, low cost and easy to conduct to determinate the"Man-made"non-antibiotic milk. But it has disadvantages of being difficult to identify the residues quantitatively and more time needed to identify. For the microbiological method the lowest identifying critery for potaasium penicilloicate was 4μg?L-1, taking time of 90min; The HPLC method has advantages of short detection time and the testing result was to be analyzed quantitatively. But it also has disadvantages of low identification rate, high cost, and complicated pretreatment. The lowest critery to identify potassium penicilloicate was 20μg?L-1, taking time of 30min.
