The Expression And Significance Of MMP-1,MMP-7 And COX-2 In Thyroid Carcinoma

Objective:We examined the expression of MMP-1,MMP-7 and COX-2 in thyroid carcinoma(included 4 types of pathology)and understanded them and thyroid cancer's relations,investigated them in the thyroid gland carcinogenesis development function to identify the thyroid cancer pathogenesis,explore new ways to provide some basis for prevention and treatment of thyroid carcinoma.Methods:The expression and distribution of MMP-1,MMP-7 and COX-2 are detected by tissue microarray technology and immunohistochemical technique in 60 cases of thyroid carcinoma tissue,12 cases of thyroid adenoma and 26 negative margins were used as the thyroid tissues Normal group.Then to integrate clinicopathologic parameters on the analysis.Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS11.5 package.Results:The level of MMP-1,MMP-7 and COX-2 expression in thyroid carcinoma were obviously higher than that in normal thyroid tissues group(P＜0.01),and they expression were related to clinical stage(P＜0.05),unrelated to sex and age(P＞0.05).MMP-1,MMP-7 and COX-2 expression were higher in carcinoma with lymph no-de involvement than that in carcinoma with no-lymph node involvement(P＜0.05).the more tumor cells secrete MMP-1,MMP-7 and COX-2,the more invade and transfer.MMP-1,MMP-7 and COX-2 have a high expression in papilary thyroid carcinoma,follicular thyroid carcinoma,undifferentiated thyroid carcinoma,medullarly thyroid carcinoma,but no obvious difference between them(P＜0.05).COX-2 and MMP-1,MMP-7 have significant correlation.(P＜0.05)Conclusion:1.The expression of MMP-1,MMP-7 and COX-2 rise in thyroid carcinoma and they were positively correlated with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis.2.The expression of COX-2,MMP-1 and MMP-7 has significant correlation in thyroid carcinoma in the study.3.Combined with COX-2 and MMP-9 expression in thyroid neoplasms can act as an early diagnosis method for thyroid cancer and evaluate lymph node metastasis,and it can direct operation type.4.The selective inhibitor of MMPs and COX-2 maybe the new target point for pharmacotherapy in thyroid cancer.
