Objective:To explore the correlation among the levels of plasma brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),angiotensinⅡ(AngⅡ)and blood pressure in hypertensive emergencise and the roles of the BNP and AngⅡin the initiation and development of hypertensive emergencies before and after treatment.Methods:30 inpatients with hypertensive emergencies were enrolled from department of cardiology in the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi Medical University. Each patient was injected with the compound of 50mg Sodium nitroprusside and 50ml 5%glucose solution by intravenous minipump(initially at 0.25μg/kg·min,titrated according to blood pressure level.,and blood pressure were controlled below 140/90mmHg.The data of ages, blood pressures, heart rates of all patients were recorded as base material. The levels of plasma BNP and AngⅡwere measured by the method of ELISA in four difference time points during the treatment processes:first time:at enrollment; second time point:MBP declined by 25%or DBP declined by 10%—15%;third time:the blood pressure were controlled at the normal level;and the fourth: 24h after the BP normal level were attained, linear correlation.Results:1.Levels of BNP declined gradually and get a statistic significance in the four time points(285.70±126.673 pg/ml,174.83±93.504 pg/ml,85.07±60.999 pg/ml,65.43±49.293 pg/ml)respectively;2.The levels of AngⅡ in the four time points were respectively(50.267±12.371 ng/L,37.933±9.989 ng/L,31.233±9.043 ng/L,30.600±10.334 ng/L).,the level was highest at first time point, and secondary time are also higher than third time and fourth time(P<0.05);while the levels at third time and fourth time have no statistic differences(P>0.05).There was a positive linear correlation between the levels of BNP and AngⅡ.There were also significant positive correlation between concentration the of BNP,AngⅡand blood pressures level, heart rates. But there was no correlation between BNP,AngⅡand ages. Conclusions:The levels of plasma BNP and AngⅡare obviously higher and have a obviously positive correlation with blood pressure levels in patients with hypertensive emergencies and BNP and AngⅡmay play a important role in the initiation and development of hypertensive emergencies.
