ObjectiveTo analyze the prevalence rate,risk factor,diagnosis,treatment, prognosis and prevention of heterotopic pregnancy(HP)after in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET).MethodsThe clinical data of patients after IVF-ET during January 2005 to December 2007 in the Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital of Zhejiang University College of Medicine were reviewed.A total of 11 patients with definitely diagnosed HP after IVF-ET were enrolled as study objects.The age,history of surgery,diagnosis,treatment and prognosis were recorded as retrospectively studied.ResultsOf 981 pregnant women after IVF-ET or ICSI-ET,11 had an HP.The occurred rate was 1.12%.8 cases had history of tubal or chronical pelvic inflammation.1 case had hyperprolactinemia,bicornuate uterus and oligozoo-spermia.1 case had azoospermia.1 case had oligo-ovulation and oligozoo-spermia.All of them were diagnosed by sonographic before surgery.All patients were performed salpingectomy after diagnosis,10 by laparoscopy and 1 by laparotomy.Only 1 case suffered from rupture of tubal pregnancy.After surgery,8 cases with ongoing intrauterinc pregnancy,3 cases were inevitable abortion.ConclusionPrevious tubal or pelvic inflammation disease are the most risk factors for HP.The sonographic examination is reliable in the diagnosis of EP.Laparoscopic salpingectomy is still considered to be the best method for the treatment of HP.Early treatment can improve the prognosis obviously.
