Objective To investigate the factors related to Parkinson's disease. Methods A population-based case-control studies, surveys from January 2007 to March 2008 in Xinjiang Medical diagnosis and treatment of 92 cases of patients with PD, and 92 cases match with them(age, gender and nationality). Adoption of a unified structure of the risk factors and diagnosis standard questionnaire to all objects of social demographic data, positive family history, history of exposure to pesticides, complicated illness and personal living habits: such as Smoking, drinking tea and alcohol. Single factor analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis of the relevant factors are used. Results Univariate analysis showed that: PD associated with the single-factor analysis of smoking, drinking tea, the mental work and a history of exposure to pesticides have statistical significance (P <0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that a history of exposure to pesticides, tea and the incidence of PD may have a certain impact (P <0.05). Conclusion The incidence of PD is involved with many factors, the results of this study support a history of exposure to pesticides and tea play a role in the etiology of PD.
