Objective We measured the patients who were undergone the closure of atrial septal defect before surgery and follows-up using TTE(trans-trthoracic echocardiography) to evaluate the sugerical effet and to discover the regular pattern of morphological and functional changes of left and right ventricle after the surgies and follows-up.Methods Forty-one patients with secondum-type ASD undergone transcatheter successfully. Echocardiography examinations were taken half-a-month before surgery and 2 days,3 months and 6 months after closures.Exam items includes the regular M-code ultrasonic measurement such as LVD,LVS and RVD and AQ(acoustic quantification) measurement of left and right ventricle such as EDV(end-dialotic volume),ESV(end-systolic volume),EF(ejection fracton),PFR(peak-filling fraction),PER(peak-ejection fraction).Aotery and pulmonary blood spectrum were analyzed using pulse-doppler in the helps of the lead ofâ…¡electrocardiograhy lead.The ICT(iso-contraction time),IRT(iso-relaxation time) and ET(ejection time) of left and right ventricle were measured on the basis of blood spetrum of mitral valve and tritral valve in the lead of electrocardiography,then we use the three items to calculate two ventricles' Tei indexes.Result All the LVDs,LVSs and LVTeis have no significant change among the study.Two days after sugery,RVDs reduced compared with the ones befer sugery,three months and six months after surgery,RVDs reduced compared with the ones befer sugery and and two days after sugery while they were not significantly different between each other.Opposite to RVPFRs,RVEDVs,RVESVs,RVSVs,RVEFs and RVPERs reduced compared with the ones before surgery.LVPFRs,LVEDVs,LVESVs,LVSVs,LVEFs and LVPERs increased compared with the ones before surgery.All the pulmonary spectrum indexes but PVAT reduced.R-Av time,AVmax and AV mean acceleration increased while AVAT reduced significantly.RVTEIs had no significant change.Three months after sugery,except LVESVs,all the AQ indexes of left ventricles and right ventricles changed significantly compared with the ones before surgery but they didn't change singnificantly compared with the ones two days after sugery.PVmax,PV mean acceleration and R-Av session reduced compared with the ones of two days after sugery.Other spectrum indexes of aotery had no chages compared with the ones of two days after sugery.RVTEIs reduced significantly compared with the ones before sugery and two days after sugery.Six months after sugery, RVEDVs,RVSVs,RVEFs and RVPFRs reduced compared with the ones two days after sugery while they didn't change significantly compared with the ones three months after sugery.The left AQs of RV had no reasonable changes compared with the ones two days after sugery and three months after sugery.AQs of LV had significant changes compared with the ones before surgery but had no significant changes compared with the ones two days after sugery and three months after sugery.PVAT increased compared with the ones before surgery but had no significant changes compared with the ones two days after sugery and three months after sugery.PV mean accelerationreduced compared with the ones three months after sugery.Spectrum indexes of aotery and RVTEIs had no changes compared with the ones three months after sugery.Conclusion ASD occlusion has good effect to the short-time and middle-time ventrincle's morphological and functional recovering.We can get easy,comprehensive and correct evaluations to the changes of volumes,function,blood stream dynamic and Tei using AQ and spectrum.
