Effect Of Zhen Qi Capsule On Rat Of Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective: To investigate the effect of Zhen Qi capsule ,Which had the fuctions of replenishing qi and nourishing yin, on transforming growth factor beta1(TGF-β1) a mRNA level of DN rats nephropathy. Methods: To establish the diabetic animal model by an injection of streptozotocin(STZ). All DN rats treated by Zhen Qi capsule, which lasted for 3months. The level of TGF-β1 mRNA of rat nephropathy was analyzed by quantitatively RT- PCR method and evaluate the effect of Zhen Qi on TGF-β1mRNA level between groups. Results: (1) Zhen Qi capsule can obviously improve the DN rats' survival condition.(2)Three months later, DN rats urinary albumin excretion rates and creatinine clearance has changed ,which displayed some early symptoms of diabetic nephropathy.(3)Compared with the model group, the content of glucose in Zhen Qi group were decreased evidently (P<0.01).(4)The level of TGF-β1 mRNA of rat retina is significantly different between diabetic nephropathy groups and normal controls, but there is no significant difference between the groups given Zhen Qi group. The level of TGF-β1mRNA of rat retina after injected STZ 3months,is significantly higher than normal group (P<0.01).(5)There is big significant difference between the groups given Zhen Qi group and diabetic ret nephropathy group. Zhen Qi can decrease the level of TGF-β1mRNA of rat retina (P<0.01). Conclusion: three months later, there are changes in kidney ultra structure in rats with diabetic Rats Zhen Qi capsule has the effect of decreasing glucose. and the level of TGF-β1 mRNA.
