Objective To investigate the dynamic change of TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 in thoracic closed injury combined with pulmonary contusion patients' serum,to study the correlation between their levels and TTS,ISS score. Methods To select 41 patients with multiple injury(ISS≥16)in our hospital between January 2007 to January 2008.They received the checks of X-ray and CT scan within 24h after trauma,21cases of thoracic closed injury with pulmonary contusion,20 cases of multiple injury without pulmonary contusion.15 healthy cases were selected for control study.Patients with multiple injury were detected for TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 in serum at 1,2,3,5,7 day after trauma respectively by ELISA.Patients with multiple injury score according to TTS and ISS standards. To study the correlation between the levels of cytokines in pulmonary contusion patients' serum and TTS,ISS score.Data of statistics was dealt by SPSS 13.0,making analysis of variance and correlation analysis. Results The levels of TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 in thoracic closed injury with pulmonary contusion patients' serum were higher than those of without pulmonary contusion patients' and healthy cases'.The difference among three groups was significant(P<0.01).TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 in serum of thoracic closed injury with pulmonary contusion patients' increased significantly, the peak value appeared 1d and 2d later after trauma, then their levels decreased gradually and were still higher than normal in 7d later after trauma. The levels of TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 in thoracic closed injury with pulmonary contusion patients' serum are positively correlated with TTS,ISS score. Conclusions 1,The levels of TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 in patients' serum both the group of pulmonary contusion and the group of without pulmonary contusion increased significantly, the difference was significant between two groups.2,The levels of cytokines in pulmonary contusion patients' serum are positively correlated with TTS,ISS score.Cytokines play an important role in evaluating thoracic trauma.3,TTS can judge the degree of thoracic trauma accurately.
