According to Compendium of Materia Medica, the granatum is the peel of punicaceae plants. Both fresh and dried granatums are available.The damage of the free radical to the cell and organization are the foundation of pathogenesis. Controlling the production of the free radical, or eliminating free radical directly, can get the possibility of reducing disease produces, achieve the goal of anti-senile. The human endogenous free radical scavenging system can eliminate unnecessary free radical. After all, it is limited, what are more important is to explore the extrinsic oxidation inhibitor-radical scavengers, which block the invasion to human's body from free radical.The results of the research showed as following:1,The optimization of the extraction technology of total flavones from granate peers using Microwave-Assisted Extraction(MAE)The research extracted effective component of granatum, using Microwave-Assisted Extraction (MAE). The best conditions were chosen through L9 (43) orthographic experiments by adsorptive photo spectrum, based on rutin standard substance. The results showed the first factor affecting extract or productivity was material-liquid ratio. The second and the third one were volume percentage of ethonal and the power of microwave respectively. The fourth one was extraction time. The best extraction conditions were 90% alcohol, MOW the power of microwave, 60s of the extraction time, 1:15 of the material-liquid ratio. The yield of the flavones of MAE was 6.64±0.003%. The yield of the flavones of alcohol extract was 5.01±0.02%. Conclusion: comparing to only using alcohol as extractor, MAE can get more effective component of granatum.2,The study of antioxidation in vitro of granatum Through antioxidation experiment, we can test antioxidation abilities of granatum. Antioxidation experiment contained 4 terms: elimination to the hydroxyl free radical (·OH), to superoxide anion radical (O2-), to·DPPH, to LPO. The result shows that: Ic50 of the extracts of alcohol extract are 670.0mg/mL,66.8mg/mL,852.0mg/mL,49.2mg/mL respectively; IC50 of the extracts of MAE are 512.2mg/mL,48.9mg/mL,629.0mg/mL,57.5mg/mL. Conclusion: granatum had elimination abilities to 4 free radical.3,The bacteriostatic experiment of granatumThe bacteriostatic experiment can test the abilities of bacteriostatic of granatum. It showed that the antibacterial circle diameters of coli, bacillus subtilis, proteus, Staphylococcus aureus, and bacillus cereus are 1.0cm,1.0cm,1.0cm,1.1cm,1.2cm,0.8cm respectively. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of the 5 bacterias are: 0.5g/mL, 1g/mL, 1.5g/mL, 0.25g/mL, 2g/mL respectively.
