aim: to set up quantitative measure of cholic acid by qualitative specific fingerprint spectrum of TLCS,to determine the content of cholic acid in artificial bezoar by Thin Layer Chromatography Scanning method. method: to take silicagel G as thin layer absorbent;chloroform-Ether-glacial acetic acid as developer (2:2:1); 10% phosphorus molybbic acid alcohol solution as coloration and we can get the characteristic fingerprint spectrum of cholic acid.to adopt TLCS method to determine the content of cholic acid according to TLCS method:detecter is 450nm ,reference is 700nm linear limits: 0.768—2.304μg。r=0.9985. It shows a good linear relation with peak area.average reclaim proportion:98.08%(n=5),RSD=2.16%.Result: The precision,replication,stability and recovery of this method were wel1 conclusion:the characteristic fingerprint spectrum is a rapid and accurate method for quantitative and qualitative measurement for internal control of the preparation. The method is suitable for the determination of cholic acid in artificial calculus bovis.
