Background:Spinal cord injury may be caused by traffic accidents,purler,sports or voilence.Among the spinal cord injury ,the cervical vertebra injury appeared most.Most of the patients were adolescent and adult. The injury can cause paraplegia,disfunction of respiration or even death. Besides the successional demolishment of cervical vertebra canal,franture and cervical dislocation caused by the injury,the latter injury may also be the main reason of the disfunction in spinal cord. The clinical symptoms as followed: The patients with upper cervical spinal cord injuried may appears extremity paralysis. Because of the cervical spinal cord injury located on upper C4, The diaphragmatic muscle and abdominal muscle are all paralysed which can induce extremely dyspnea,cyanopathy . If the operation of tracheotomy is not on time,the patients'condition will be in danger. The lower cervical spinal cord injury may appear ertremity paralysis originated from the lower shoulder,costal breathing diminished,the movement of diaphragmatic muscle still appear, abdominal breathing turns weaker,the function of urination and defecation loss.Recent years ,our country had gain fairly advancement on the field of the treatment of spinal cord injury.The advancement include the field first aid,the surgical intervention,the improvement on the internal fixation,reduce secondary lesion and ideal recovery.All of these make the cure of spinal cord injury into epoch. The recover of the cervial spinal cord injury were decided by the injury degree and character.Most of the cervical dislocation and the fracture of the cervical vertebra need to be operated. Operation can create a better situation for the neurofunctional recoveryThe debate about the time for surgery was at all times.Objective:The clinical evaluation of the emergency operation on lower cervical spine fracture and dispositon。Methods:The research adopt retrospective analytical method .Analysed the patients with cervical dislocation(C3-C7) which hospitalization in our hospital during January.2006 to December. 2007.There were 53 patients during the two years.We analysed the time of traction and the time of operation. Terapeutic regimen was evaluated by JOA and Frankel.We analysed the contrast of JOA and Frankel between preoperative and postoperative.Results:1.The therapeutic effect of patients of lower cervical spine fracture and dispositon had been operated after traction reduction was better than the patients with traction unreduction.2. The therapeutic effect of the group with emergency operation was better than the group with selective operation 3 The case file of lower cervical spine fracture and dispositon should conclude Frankel,JOA,the typing and graduation of the fracture and dispositon.That would good for the operating choice of the time and wayConclusion:The therapeutic effect of patients of lower cervical spine fracture and dispositon had been operated after traction reduction was better than the patients with traction unreduction.
