| Objectives This study was designed to investigate the difference of serum C-reaction protein ,serum complement C3,and Left atrial inside diameter levels in different atrial fibrillation(AF) or normal rhythm ,and to explore the clinical value of them in atrial fibrillations. Methods 42 patients with AF were divided into Chronic AF group(14 patients),Paroxysmal AF(14 patients),Control normal rhythm group(14 patients);42 patients were all check uped with consummate chemical examinations, electrocardiogram, ultrasoundcardiogram, carefully inquired the medical history and how long AF had continued.all patients with AF who did not know when AF began were not selected .All these patients whom we studied had no history of serious infection, wound, operation in recent one months, systemic immunologic disease, serious liver or renal disease, tumor,et al。Serum complement C3,CRP were tested by rate nephelometry, Left atrial inside diameter were tested by ultrasoundcardiogram. Results Compared with the control and Paroxysmal AF group ,serum CRP and LAD levels were all markedly increased in ChronicAF patients(P<0.01),and no significant difference was found between the control and Paroxysmal AF group(P>0.05); Serum complement C3 level was found no significant difference in the control,Paroxysmal AF group and Chronic AF group.Pearson linear regression analysis revealed that serum CRP level was positively correlated with LAD (r=0.372, P<0.05).Conclusions1.The serum CRP level is positive correlation with LAD,they are significant different in Chronic AF group, the occurrence and development of atrial fibrillation are possiblely close to inflammation.2. The serum CRP and LAD levels could have the instruction significance to treat atrial fibrillation.3. The clinical significance of serum complement C3 in atrial fibrillation needs further investigations. |
