Research Of The Effect Of Gubiqing To Knee Joint Oteoarthritis Combined With Synovitis

Objective: Research the effect of the Gubiqing on knee joint oteoarthritis combined with synovitis and measure the positive cell rate of p53,caspase-3. Method: In clinical research, 60 cases were devided randomly in 2 groups. The treating group was treated with Gubiqing and the control group was treated with Xinhuang Tablets (XT). Clinical evidence in Traditional Chinese Medicine, symptoms and signs, health assessment questionnaire(HAQ) were observed. In experimental research, 40 male rats were divided randomly in 4 groups which were treating group, control group, model group and blank group. The experimental osteoarthritis were duplicated by intro-articularly applied papain in rabbits. Observe the pathological changes of articular cartilage and synovial membrane by HE colouration under light microscope, then mark it by Mankin. Measure the positive cell rate of p53 and caspase-3 by Immunohistochemical technique. Rusult: Under light microscope, after treating with Gubiqing, inflammation of articular cartilage and synovial membrane were lightened, the positive cell rate of p53 and caspase-3 were lowered. Conclusion:The Gubiqing can not only restrain chondrocyte apoptosis of knee Oteoarthritis combined with synovitis,but aiso relive damnification of articular cartilage, lower the positive cell rate of p53 and caspase-3.
