background and object nm23 is the hot spot of research as a cancer metastasis suppress gene.Therefore,various studies investigated the relationship between the expression of nm23 gene and clinicopathologic features of human gastric carcinoma.However,the results differed significantly from study to study.To determent whether there is a correlation between the expression of nm 23 and gastric carcinoma,we complete a meta-analysis of the published literatures.Method All data that were associated with the study of the relationship between nm 23 and gastric carcinoma from Medline EBSCO,OVID,Springer LINK and CBM disc database.Added literature ascend,handiwork retrieve and so on to search the literatures about the correlation between the expression of nm23 and gastric carcinoma.All the literatures are used to find whether there is a relationship between nm 23 and gastric carcinoma by meta-analysis.RR(relative risk)is adopted as the statistic indicatrix Result 1794 patients in a total of 15 studies were included in the present meta-anaysis.There is heterogeneity among these literatures.So we adopted random effect pattern to analysis.RR is 1.13,95%CI is 0.95～1.35,P value＞0.05 Conclusion There is no evidently correlativity,between the expression of nm23 and the lymph node metastasis of gastric carcinoma.
