| Objective To compare the effects of anterolateral and posterolateral surgical approaches in primary total hip arthroplasty.Methods Retrospective study was undertaken in eighty patients undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) (forty: anterolateral approach, forty: posterolateral approach)Results Postoperative hip scores ,blood loss and complications showed no significant differences between anterolateral approach and posterolateral approach, Hip scores showed significant differences between pre-operative and post-operative in two groups.Conclussion The choice of approach in primary total hip arthroplasty brings no functional difference. |
