Expression And Significance Of Ets-1, MMP-9 Proteins In The Pathological Tissues Of Lymphoma Patients

ObjectiveTo discuss the protein level of Ets-1,MMP - 9 expression in the pathological tissue of lymphoma patients, and prognostic significance.MethodsAll 60 cases of lymphoma patients, 15 cases of benign hyperplastic lymphadenitis patients were detected by Streptavidin - Peroxidase immunohistochemical method.Results1. MMP-9 protein was mainly expressed on the cytoplasm and seldomly on nucleus in both lymphoma and benign hyperplastic lymphadenitis. The high positive expression rate of MMP - 9 protein in the lymphoma showed 61.7% respectively, higher than that of the benign hyperplastic lymphadenitis (20%) (P < 0. 05). The high positive expression rate of MMP-9 proteins in the Ann Arbor stages of lymphoma showed:Ⅲ,Ⅳstage higher thanⅠ,Ⅱstage ( P < 0. 05). And the high positive expression ratio of MMP - 9 proteins was not associated with age,sex, lesions, histological category and biological behaviour, (P > 0. 05).2. Ets-1 protein was mainly expressed on the necelus and seldomly on cytoplasm in both lymphoma and benign hyperplastic lymphadenitis. The positive expression rate of Ets-1 proteins in the lymphoma showed 48.3%, higher than that of the benign hyperplastic lymphadenitis (13.3%) ( P < 0. 05). The positive expression rate of Ets-1 protein in the Ann Arbor stages of lymphoma showed:Ⅲ,Ⅳstage higher thanⅠ,Ⅱstage ( P < 0. 05). The positive expression rate of Ets-1 proteins in female showed 71.4%(15/21), higher than that of the male 35.9%(14/39)(P=0.0009). The positive expression rate of Ets-1 proteins intralymph node showed70.0%(21/30), higher than that of the extralymph node 26.7%(8/30),(P=0.0008). And the positive expression ratio of Ets-1 protein was not associated with age, lesions, histological categoryand biological behaviour,(P > 0. 05).3. There was correlation with the expression of Ets-1,MMP - 9 proteins in lymphoma ( rs =0.329,P=0.010< 0. 05).Conclusion1. The up-reguation expression of Ets-1,MMP - 9 proteins in lymphoma suggested that they may play a role in the pathway of lymphoma,they might play synergetic roles in the progess of carcinogenesis of lymphoma.They might identified as a potential therapeutic target in lymphoma.2. The expression of Ets-1,MMP - 9 in lymphoma showed a high expression in the pathological tissues of lymphoma patients. The expression of Ets-1,MMP– 9 had a correlation with the Ann Arbor stages of lymphoma. These two factors may be the significant factors which could predict the invasion and metastasis of lymphoma.3. The positive expression ratio of Ets-1 protein was associated with sex and , but the clinical significance is still to be studied and researched.4. The positive expression ratio of Ets-1 and MMP-9 proteins were not associated with age,histological category and biological behaviour.
