Partâ… Study of correlation between the postmortem interval (PMI) and the DNA content of tissues of rabbits after deathObjective: To probe the correlation between the postmortem interval (PMI) and the DNA content of tissues of rabbits after death, and the possible difference of DNA degradation in diffente tissues and individuals. Methods: The Tissue microarray(TMA) and Image analysis technology(IAT) were used to measure the DNA content of tissues of rabbits after death. To explore the DNA degradation in diffente tissues and individuals within 0-96hours.Results: There was a plateau period for the DNA degradation of rabbits after death. It was different in diffente tissues and individuals .There was a time-sequence. Statistically:There was a significant negative correlativity between the average DNA content and postmortem interval from 0 to 96 hours after death of rabbit(sP<0.05),especially in trachea, kidney and myocardium. The R2 were 0.988,0.981,0.960.Conclusions: There is high negative correlativity between the postmortem interval and the average DNA content of tissues of rabbits after death, especially in trachea, kidney and myocardium.. Partâ…¡Study of correlation between the postmortem interval (PMI) and the DNA content of tissues of human after departing from bodiesObjective: To probe the correlation between the postmortem interval (PMI) and the DNA content of tissues of human after departing from bodies, comparing with the tissues in rabbits for the feasibility on the conclusion of Postmortem Interval. Methods: The Tissue microarray(TMA) and Image analysis technology(IAT) were used to measure the DNA content of muscle and skin tissues of human after departing from bodies. To explore the rule of DNA degradation in two tissues within 0-96hours. Comparing with the tissues in rabbits, the correlative analysis will be done. Results: There was high negative correlativity between the postmortem interval and the average DNA content of muscle and skin tissues of human after departing from bodies(P<0.05). Using the two-element(factor) analysis, the r2 equals 0.911. Comparing with the muscle tissues in rabbits, There is high negative correlativity between human and rabbits. The Pearson Correlation is 0.895. P=0.000.Conclusions: (1)There is high negative correlativity between the postmortem interval and the average DNA content of muscle and skin tissues of human after departing from bodies. (2) Comparing with the muscle tissues in rabbits, There is high negative correlativity between human and rabbits in muscle tissues. The result of animal can be used on the conclusion of postmortem interval.
