Research of Spinal Biomechanics Testing is of great significance for understanding the function of spine and correct assessment of the impact of spinal injury and surgery. Spinal Biomechanics testing including two-pronged studies that are the spine loading method and the spinal movement described. The loading method has gone through a period from gradual loading to continuous loading; the measurement of spinal movement has gone through a period from two-dimensional measurements to three-dimensional measurement, from simple to complex, from estimating to precision. This paper researches and develops a spinal biomechanics load control and detection device. This device can achieve the auto-loading to spine so that the spine can make flexion, extension, flexion, rotation, vertical compression of 3D movement, meanwhile, it also can test the pressure and torque loaded on the spine and the spinal movement.The following results were attained:(1) The thesis analyzed the current literatures and summarized the up-to-date experimental methods on the spinal biomechanics testing.(2) Design and construct a load control and detection device based on spinal biomechanics. Describe the working principle and composition of the device,which can be used to measure spinal flexion, extension, flexion, lateral rotation, vertical compression of space, such as three-dimensional movement.(3) Design and construct auto-loading driving equipment. This equipment is composed of suitable synchronous motor and a loading control circuit controlling the movement of spinal and so on. It can drive the spine to make three-dimensional and six degree-of-freedom movement.(4) Develop load control program based on the loading control circuit. Through the PC serial port, the SCM receives the control commands and drivers spinal move.(5) Design and Construct the spinal motion and stress measurement equipment. Select the appropriate pressure and torque sensors, develop SCM control circuit and small-signal amplifier, do Data Acquisition and Processing by PC and multifunctional data acquisition card. This measuring equipment can test the pressure and torque loaded on the spine and the spinal movement.
