Abstract/Summary:
This study was designed to investigate (1) relationship between mandibular anterior alveolar width and different types of malocclusion (2) changes in alveolar morphology after retraction of anterior teeth.Purpose: To examine (1)the association of vertical facial skeletal types and sagital facial skeletal types with anterior alveolar width (2)changes in alveolar bone width after treatment with four lnd premolars extracted.Method: (1)Pre-treatment cephalometric X-rays of 168 patients with malocclusion in early stage of permanent were divided into 9 groups and their mandibular anterior alveolar widths were measured.(2)47 patients, with slight crowding and four lnd premolars extracted for orthodontics purpose, were examinated. Their pre-and post treatment cephalometric films were studied for hard/soft tissue changes and remodeling of anterior alveolar after treatment.Result: The cephalometric values demonstrated that:1) There were significant defference between different vertical facial types groups. The order was: high-angle group
