The Clinical Application Of Diagnosis And Therapy For The Condyle Fracture By Three-dimensional Rebuilding Of The Helix CT

Objective:Evaluate the values of Three-dimensional Rebuilding image by the helix CT to help diagnosis and therapy for the Condyle Fracture.Methods:Using the patients information of Xinjiang medical University the first affiliated hospital,oral and maxillofacial surgery department.The cases were taken from the patients which hospitalized form August 2004 to July 2006.The twenty-three cases(about twenty-six sides)of oral and maxillofacial trauma were suspected has condyle fracture.They all examined with X-ray and Three-dimensional rebuilding and then diagnose condyle fracture.Using the image of the Three-dimensional rebuilding,we diagnose and treat the condyle fracture.Among them,16 cases has taken intermaxillaru elastic traction therapy method for two weeks,3 cases had surgical reduction operation with tragus incision, while 3 cases had condyle process resection operation with tragus incision.and 1 case had condyle process resection operation with combination incision.Through observing the image of three-dimensional rebuilding to evaluate the value of this technique in condyle fracture diagnose and making therapy methods.Results:After 1 to 3 months follow-up visit,we use the Waker's evaluation criterion to decide the results of the condyle fracture treated.Among the 23 cases,19 cases have good therapy result,3 cases have general result while 1 case has bad result.After operation and expectant treatment, we found that the mouth-opening degree and face forming of the patients has reacher the therapy destination.Using x-ray examination,after reatment all the fractures has found growing osteotylus.Conclutions:Base on identify diagnosis, Three-dimensional Rebuilding image can help clinical surgeon to decide a suitable therapy method.The surgeon can use Three-dimensional Rebuilding images directly to know about the appearance,magnitude,surrounding tissue and localization of the fracture in Three-dimensional.So it made the diagnosis,classification and making therapy methods more and more fidelity.Our funding indicate that Three-dimensional Rebuilding image has good value in condyle fracture diagnosis and making therapy methods.
