Objective: To discuss efficacy and safety of pre-prandial Dual-wave and Single-wave infusion mode of insulin pump in the treatment of type 2 diabetic patients. Methods: 30 type 2 diabetic patients either of out-clinic or hospitalized experiencing hyperglycemia were enrolled and randomly assigned to single-wave group and dual-wave group for 2-week therapy, 3 of them quitted for all kinds of cause, finally 27 patients were recruited, single-wave group (15 patients, race Uger / nan is 7/13) and dual-wave group (12 patients, race Uger/han is 5/9). All patients were given 7-8 point finger blood glucose testing (times before 3 meals and 2h after 3 meals, bedtime or with 3 clock in the morning) and received CGMS monitoring 2 days before the study beginning and 2 days before the study extermination, after that made assessment for it..Results: FBG, PPG, MODD, MAGE indicate significant difference (P<0.05) in both groups after treatment compared with baseline, yet NGE doesn't show the difference (P> 0.05); No statistic significance is found in Hypoglycemic events between two groups (P >0.05); FBG targeting time, PPG targeting time, basal-rate and meal bolus regulation number don't show significant difference between two group. basal-rate division number in SW group vs. DW group (3 vs. 2) exist significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion: Dual-wave mode, as well as Single-wave mode, achieved excellent efficacy and safety in blood glucose control by performing their own features in glucose control, and Dual-wave mode has no doubt enriched therapeutic options. Doctors should employ the 2 way more flexibly for different diet situation and the needs of patents.
