Objective:To investigate the influence of obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)in males with hypertension on lipid metabolism, fast blood glucose, metabolism, homocysteine metabolism, uric acid metabolism. Methods:At the base of balance of body mass index and abdomen circumference,71 hypertensive males with OSAHS as experimental groups and 25 males with hypertension as controls were enrolled and were evaluated by polysomnography during sleep; All cases were 30-70 years old in hospital from 08.2005 to 02.2007.The data about Serum total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein (LDL-C),fast blood glucose(FBG),homocysteine(HCY),uric acid(UA)were obtained. Results:The levels of TC and FBG were significantly higher in obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome with hypertension than that of controls(P<0.05);The level of HDL-C was significantly lower than the controls(P<0.05).Compared with the controls, the levels of HCY,LDL-C and UA were higher, but not significantly different;Incidence of abnormal metabolism in obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)with hypertension was higher than the controls(P<0.01).Conclusion:The more severe abnormal metabolism was existed in obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS)with hypertension, theses factors may contribute to the increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
