Objective To explore the value of navigation foramen ovale localization at radio frequency thermocoagulation of trigeminal semi lunar ganglion. Methods Preoperation. We get skull C'I,laminae scan to obtain image material, to reconstruct basi of the cranium at Brain-Lab workstation, to observe and measure foramen ovale correlated data. Applicating BrainI ab work-station to draw the outline of foramen ovale as target, then we punctured by image navigating insstrument. Results We performed 21 cases, all successfully punctured by one shot. In operating, the reluctance is 405-710Ω, which mean value is 505Ω; The mean value of sensory irritation is 0.52V , which of motion stimulation is 0.85V . All cases analgesia after operation with sense of touch reservation . We followed foramen ovale datas by statistical description and deduction. Conclusion There is no statistics difference in mean valure of foramen ovale between iconography measurement and cadaver head measurement. Foramen ovale bore of both side haven't statistics difference; Exact locahion of foramen ovale is key to radio frequency thermocoagulation. Assisted by navigation, the accuracy rate of puncturing is 100.
