OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of comprehensive treatmemt for advancedprostate cancer.Measure: 61 cases of far advanced prostate cancer were treated with intra-intermaliliac-arterial chemotherapy. After 2-3weeks, the patients were treated with TUR andCSAP. The volume of tumor, pathological changes, serum levels of prostate-spsificantigen (PSA) and urodynamic were determined before and after treatments.Result: The prostate tumors became soft and the volume was shrank about 30-50%after 2-3 weeks. The morphologic changes are degeneration and massive necrosis incarcinoma. The serum levels of PSA was decreased more than 50%and last more than8 months (p<0.05). MFR increased from 4.324±2.78ml/s to 14.5±3.26ml/s, AFRincreased from 2.18±1.32ml/s to 7.78±3.5ml/s, R decreased from 185±125.5ml/sto 20±15ml/s.CONCLUTION: The comprehensive treatmemt can obtain better effects andimprove the life quality in patients with advanced prostate cancer.
