BACKGROUND: There are many oncogenes, anti-oncogenes and proteins acting in the occurrence and development of colon carcinoma. CD147 is one of the immunoglobulin family, which is a transmembrane glucoprotein and widely exists in the organism and participate in the physiology course of generation, immunity, embryonic development and nervous activity, and also have intimate relation with tumor proliferation and metastasis. This may be contribute to the next study if we know the rule of CD147 expression and the relationship between CD147 and the colon carcinoma pathology parameter. CypA is the main member of Cyp family,it has the activity of Peptidel prolyl cis-trans isomersae (PPIase) ,in the course of protein synthesis, folding and conveying ,CypA has great contribution especially in the protein which is abundant of pyrrolidinecarboxylic acid,at the same time,it is the molecular chaperones and participate in biology process such as apoptosis, intercellure signal conduction. This may be contribute to the following study if we know the rule of CypA expression , the relationship between CypA and the colon carcinoma pathology parameter. There have studies showing that CypA can accommodate the expression level of CD147,and there are positive evidence showing that CD147 is cytomembrane receptor of CypA,the co-contribution of CD147 and CypA can effect the proliferation, differentiation and inter-cell signal conduction of tumor cell, however, the mechanism is still remain not fully clear. The study studied the expression of CD147 and CypA in colon carcinoma with SP immunohistochemistry and analyzed the relationship between the expression and clinical pathological characterization of colon carcinoma. Objective To investigate the expression of CD147 and CypA in colon carcinoma and the possible significance.MethodsSpecimens taken from 46 colon carcinoma tissues and 20 normal colon tissues from Xiangya 2nd Hospital of Central South University .SP immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate the expression of CD147 and CypA in 46 colon carcinoma tissues and 20 normal colon tissues.Results1.CD147 is expressed both in colon carcinoma tissues and normal colon tissues, but it is obviously stronger in the formor (P<0.05),and the expression is correlated with the differentiation of colon carcinoma and lymph node metastasis. It is to say that the espression of CD147 in colon carcinoma becoming stonger with the lower degree of histologic differentiation of colon carcinoma and lymph node metastasis appearing.2.CypA is expressed both in colon carcinoma tissues and normal colon tissues, nevertheless, the expression correlated with the differentiaion of colon carcinoma and lymph node metastasis. The expression becoming stronger with the lower differentiation of colon carcinoma and lymph node metastasis. With the lower degree of histologic differentiation of colon carcinoma and lymph node metastasis appearing, the expression of CypA is significantly increased (P<0.05).3. The expression of CD147 and CypA have the same rule in colon carcinoma which is the expression correlated with the differentiaion of colon carcinoma and lymph node metastasis. That means with the lower degree of histologic differentiation of colon carcinoma, lymph node metastasis appearing, the expression of CD147 and CypA are both significantly increased (P>0.05).There is no significanttly difference between the expression of CD147 and CypA in colon carcinoma. Conclusion1.CD147 is obviously higher expressed in colon carcinoma tissues than the normal colon tissue. It is possible corrrealted with the proliferation , infiltration and lymph node metastasis of colon carcinoma.2. CypA is obviously higher expressed in colon carcinoma tissues than the normal colon tissue. It is possible corrrealted with the proliferation , infiltration and lymph node metastasis of colon carcinoma.3. There is possible positive regulation between CD147 and CypA in colon carcinoma.
