Objective To evaluate the application of MRI in before and after liver transplantation, especially the diagnostic value of confined bile duct using MRCP early. Method 55 cases who had underwent and who would undergo orthotopic liver transplantation have been collected, in which 19 patients had been examed by MRI before and after operation. Before orthotopic liver transplantation 31 patients had been examed by MRI and MRA to detect liver volume, parenchymal liver and vessel. After orthotopic liver transplantation 43 patients whose bile ducts had anastomotic strictures underwent MRCP to compare the imaging of MRCP between the patients who had the clinical symptom and who had not. Then we analyse statistically and find other complications after liver transplantation. Result T2WI is very important to differentiate regenerative nodules from dysplastic nodules. MRA can display not only configuration and embranchment of vessels but also whether embolism has been in vessel, which can offer referenced evidence for choosing the pattern of operation. MRA is very valuable to detect strictures in vessels after operation. MRCP can impersonally evaluate the extent of stricture in bile ducts. It has less probability in the group whose confined extent exceed 0.67 than whose less than 0.33, that has significant differences( p<0.05). Conclusion With the technology of MRI developing continually, MRI as a imaging method of non-breaking into, not only evaluates before liver transplantation well and truly but also diagnoses syndromes after liver transplantation fleetly. And it is important for direction for clinical diagnoses and cure.
