| Alus nepalensis is a folk medicine for the treatment of rheumatism, fracture, edema and diarrhea. The 95% ethanol extract of A. nepalensis showed certain ACEinhibitory activity in vitro. Rhaphidophora hongkongensis is used in the folk medicinefor the treatment of fracture, rheumatism and bronchitis. To reveal their constitutents, they were subjected to chemical study.Acetyloleanolic acid (1), oleanolic acid (2), lupeol (3),β-sitosterol (4),β-amyrin(5), euscaphic acid (6), campotothecin (7),β-daucosterol (8), and chlorogenic acid (9)were isolated from the 95% aqueous ethanolic extract of the aerial parts of Alusnepalensis. The contents of carnpotothecin in dried leaves and stems are 923μg/g and192μg/g respectively. Alus nepalensis is a potential resource of campotothecin. From the 95% aqueous ethanolic extract of the whole plant of Rhaphidophorahongkongensis, ten compounds were isolated and identified as lupeol acetate (10),lupeol(11),β-sitosterol (12), betulinic acid (13), betulinol (14), stearic acid (15),ficubee A (16), ficubee B (17), artelastin (18) andβ-daucosterol (19).The structure, origin, bioactivity, synthesis and ~1H NMR character of prenylatedflavonoids were summarized. |
