The processing of traditional Chinese drug is a special technology for pharmacy. It expands the area of the application of traditional Chinese drug and improves the safety and curative effect of the clinical drug. The article has two parts. In the first part, the author narrates and summarizes the history about the processing of traditional Chinese drug .In the study the author refers to the books about Chinese herbal medicine in order to sort out their venation and reveal its inherent orderliness of development. In the second part, the author expatiates the rationality of the processing of traditional Chinese drug by reasonable examples and analyse its cultural background. During the development of several thousands years, people have accumulated experiences about effective medicine, which has been confirmed by modern research. But the processing of traditional Chinese drug is guided by the concept" Nature and Humanity syncretize harmoniously "and forms fixed mode of thinking "The relationship between physique and mind" that everything was analogized endlessly, so the theory of the processing of traditional Chinese drug will be badulterated with many absurd and hypocritical components. Therefore, we must clean up the history and eliminate these false components so that the processing of traditional Chinese drug goes along the road of science.
