The aim of this paper is that writing a Monte Carlo simulation program by GEANT4 ToolKit on CT data. We can observe one heavy ion track in human body and calculate the dose by this program. The GEANT4 Monte Carlo code provides many powerful functions for conducting particle transport simulations with great reliability and flexibility. However, as a general purpose Monte Carlo code, not all the functions were specifically designed and fully optimized for applications in radiation therapy.First, we discussed how to visualize the image based on patient CT data. We used MITK ToolKit to write the program to read out CT value.Next, patient CT data had to be imported into the simulation model. The model can be optimized according as the calculation circumstance. It is accurate when the CT voxel defined a GEANT4 volume, nevertheless, depended on the CPU speed and memory. In this paper, we divided patient cancer into 200 GEANT4 volumes. Finally, we use the result of simulation to make the treatment plan.Contain of this paper as following:1. Summarize development of heavy-ion radiotherapy.2. Introduce the framework of program.3. Introduce the biological effect of heavy-ion.4. Make the treatment planning5. Summarize our work.
