The Study Of VEGF,TSGF In The Curative Effect And Evaluation After Hepatic Carcinoma Transcatheter Arterial Chemotherapy Embolization

Objective: To evaluate the standard of effect after hepatic carcinoma transcatheter arterial chemotherapy embolization (TACE) and the significance of TACE in therapy primary hepatic carcinoma.Methods: Tanscatheter arterial chemotherapy embolization (FACE) was operated to 198 patients with primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC). The expression of preoperative and postoperative VEGF, TSGF was determined by biochemical colorimetric method and association among VEGF, TSGF,AFP, tumor size, type of lipiodol-ultrafluid and curative effect was studied.Results: The level of VEGF and TSGF in serum dropped markedly with the reduction of the tumor size, typeâ… â…¡â…¢of lipiodol-ultrafluid other than typeâ…£. The expression of TSGF and VEGF existed in patients with negative AFP.It was different between descent of the level of VEGF and TSGF in serum and the diminution of tumor size in tumor's diameter<5cm. That was accordant in tumor's diameter>5cm moreover it was correlation with type of lipiodol-ultratluid.Conclusion: Expression of TSGF and VEGF can be used for early diagnosis of patients with PHC in AFP and image examination. It has an important significance in evaluating tumor size, curative effect and prognosis, But,once VEGF and TSGF are applied as a standard of curative effect, much attention should be paid in the following aspects. First: Comprehensive analysis is essential and critical other than analyze one single factor. Second,in the cases either AFP>400ug/l or positive, curative effect is determined by AFT test ;AFP<20ul/l,other factors are supposed to be taken into consideration. Third ,take tumor size in diameter as a divide. Big Carcinoma is suggested an evaluation based on WHO Tumor Size, while small carcinoma on TSGF, Fourth,lipiodol-ultrafluid index is effective in the evaluation of therapy primary hepatic carcinoma regardless of the tumor size. Last, the combined comparison between the apparent change of VEGF , TSGF nature and lipiodol-ultrafluid is a reliable index to analyze the curative effect.
