[Objective]To detect the serum levels of tissue factor(TF)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in patients with acute leukemia(AL)and study the relationship between the levels of TF and VEGF with the occurrence of acute leukemia and try to find simple, depended items for chemotherapy reaction in AL.[Methods]43 patients with AL and 20 normal control subjects were included,38 newly diagnosed patients used 2 cycles of conventional chemotherapy.Serum levels of TF and VEGF were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and some other related items were determined as well.To compare the variation TF and VEGF levels in pretreated and post-treated patients with AL and to observe the correlation of TF and VEGF and other related items. All data were analyzed by SPSS 10.0.[Resuits]1 The Serum levels of TF and VEGF in patients with acute leukemia were higher obviously than those in normal subjects(10.67±5.02 vs.4.40±3.95pg/ml;437.19±212.15 vs.102.35±64.89 pg/ml).(p<0.01).2 The comparison between VEGF and TF were concentrated on acute leukemia patients pre- and post- treatment. The patients were divided into two groups(completely remission CR and no completely remission NR)depended on the reaction on chemotherapy. It was found TF and VEGF levels of pre-treatment patients were higher significantly than of post-treatment patients in CR group(10.64±5.2 vs.33.38±2.48pg/ml;453.07±213.19 vs.153.84±86.81pg/ml).(p<0.01). It was found TF and VEGF levels of pre-treatment patients were lower than of post-treatment patients in NR group(9.63±4.69 vs.15.74±4.57pg/ml;338.78±235.73 vs.555.64±199.72pg/ml). (p<0.05).3 The CR rate in the group of high levels of VEGF and TF was lower than that in the group of low levels.4 The serum levels of TF and VEGF was shown positive correlation in the patients with acute leukemia.[Conclusions]1 The expression of TF was positively correlated with that of VEGF in acute leukemia, They might participate in the angiogenesis of acute leukemia.2 Serum levels of TF and VEGF may be useful items for detecting the effect of treatment in acute leukemia. 3 The serum levels of TF and VEGF was shown positive correlation in the patients with acute leukemia.
