Anti-myocardial dementia effects of QC and the mechanism of it were preliminarilystudied in this paper. Orthogonal design was applied to analyze the best proportion of Q and Cin QC. The results indicated QC treatment prolonged the survival time of mice in normobarichypoxia; T wave elevation and ST segment drift on electrocardiogram in acute myocardialischemia rats induced by Pituitrin (Pit) and Isoprotereno (Iso) were obviously opposed byadministration of QC. Moreover, the infract area dyed by TTC was also distinctly reduced incoronary ligated dogs. The activity of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lacticdehydrogenase (LDH), creatine phosphokinase (CPK) significantly degraded in myocardialischemia animals, QC treatment prevented these effects. Those results indicated that QC hasthe protection effects to ischemia myocardium. QC administration produced significantincreasment of coronary blood flow (CBF) and cardiac output (CO) in coronary ligateddogs. In hemodynamics studies of coronary ligated dogs, left ventricular systolicpressure (LVSP), ventricular pressure maximal change rate (±dp/dtmax), stroke volume(SV) decreased, while left ventricular end diastolic pressure (LVEDP) had increased . Theseeffects were prevented by administration of QC, which showed that QC ameliorated the"pump" effect of hearts in coronary ligated dogs and increased blood and oxygen supply ofischemia zone in hearts. At the same time, heart rate (HR) , systolic blood pressure (SP),diastolic blood pressure (DP), mean arterial pressure (MAP) had no change;coronary vascular resistance (CVR) and total peripheral vascular resistance (TPVR) werereduced by medication of QC, these actions decreased myocardial oxygen consumption inischemia condition. Moreover, QC showed obvious anti-platelet aggregation andanti-thrombosis effects, significantly reduced the wet thrombus weight in ratsand the death numbers of mice on pulmonary embolism; reduced euglobulinlysis time(ELT) and prolonged coagulation time (CT). Summarizing all the experimental results, QC showed anti-myocardial dementia effects.The mechanism maybe involved in ameliorating hemodynamical indexes, anti-platelet aggregation effects and anti-thrombosis effects.
