Learning and memory is a fundamental funciton of the brain.The strctures associated with learning and memory has been studied for morn than one hundred years.In the early half of the last century,a famous neuropsychologist,KS Lashhy suggested that the memory was stored in the brain difusely,which dominated the field of neuroscience.However neuroscientists began to believe that diferent brain structures may p1ay diferent roles in leaming and memory since Scoville reported a persistent impairment of recent memory in man following bilateral medial temporal lobe resection in 1957.Thus the medial temporal lobe system,the prefrontal cortex(PFC),diencephalon,amygdala,cerebellum and basal nucleus of Meynert(NBM),were found to be involved in learning and memory successful。Bmygdala is the largest study as one of the brain regions associated with learning and memory. The amygdala is located deep in the temporal lobe stones kind of a nucleus group, formed by about 13 nuclear which is divided into three : Asia central amygdaloid nucleus, basolateral nucleus, the medial cortex of the nuclear group. Much efferent and the introduction fibre from amygdala linked to brain regions of learning and memory. The amygdala plays a pivotal role in learning and memory. So I chosed it as a study.In the past, the study of the amygdala is the use of nerve damage to the nucleus. For example, the amygdala damage can be blocked their differences and the fear of enemies. In the faces of the people tested, compared with the control group, two patients with a sense of the damage to the amygdala that were unfamiliar faces more easily access and credibility identifying the poor expression of fear.In the study of the amygdala, I used nerve cell units discharge records in the basolateral amygdala nuclear observed before and after stimulation of neuronal, changes of discharge frequency were found increased significantly after stimulation.In addition, in order to study the mechanisms of learning and memory in animals, people set up conditioned reflex model. Numerous experiments confirmed that the model is a good way to promote learning and memory. However, these methods are mainly concentrated in the study of animal behavior changes to measure the degree of learning and memory. Other studies have not been reported. Therefore, in another experiment by the method of blood pressure monitoring I aimed at finding a conditioned reflex model which can be successfully established as a symbol of fear and continued to the disquisition of nerve cell adhesion molecules .The method of chronic arterial blood pressure monitoring was mainly adopted in the study of fear conditioned reflex model. Firstly experimental animals were trained . The field was conditioned reflex training box. The instrument can offer two kinds of stimulation. One was conditioned stimulation by voices and the other was unconditioned stimulated formed by the foot shocks.In the adaptation phase, when the conditioned stimulus was given alone, animal behavior was not affected.,such as explore behavior, sleep and other activities. Blood pressure did not change significantly before and after voice stimulation .During the training process, voice stimulation and shock were given at the same time. At the beginning the animals showed more jump, eatablished to avoid and so on. Along with the training, animals such acts decreased significantly, while the performance of a curled-up position is strong, In addition to respiratory movement others did not exist .The animals were in a relatively static tension in the state. The animal given voice stimulation appeared to tremble, head raising. Blood pressure increased significantly after conditioned stimulation.When lidocaine numbed basolateral amygdala neurons, blood pressure was not increased after stimulation. 90 minutes after administration, stimulation was given and blood pressure changes was recorded. The results of blood pressure showed significantly higher after stimulationThis shows that nuclear basolateral amygdala plays an important role in learning and memory, blood pressure is a reliable indicator which suggested the conditioned reflex model was established successfully. It provided a scientific basis to study the role of nerve cell adhesion molecule in learning and memory .
