Stating The Surgical Operative Cases Of The Pituitary Macroadenomas And Discussing The Relative Surgical Operative Strategy

Objective: To discuss the surgical operative strategy of pituitary macroadenomas.Methods: The 50 surgical operative cases of the pituitary macroadenomas were analyzed by statistic methods.Results: In the group of the surgical operative pituitary macroadenomatous cases, non-functioning macroadenoma,PRL macroadenoma,GH macroadenoma were very usual, the transoral trans-sphenoidal approach was used more. Compared with the transcranial approaches, the transoral trans-sphenoidal approach interfered with the surrounding structures more little, avoided the intracranail infection and other complications more sufficiently, and its complete excision rate of the macroadenomas with invasion of the suprasellar region was higher. For the cases with invasion of the parasellar region, the above approaches were in no differences.Conclusions: the transoral trans-sphenoidal approach is an ideal approach of pituitary macroadenomas.
