Objective : The three-dimensional(3D) craniofacial measurements were performed through the quantitative computed tomography(CT). The dynamic database of quantitative measurement of three-dimensional craniofacial tissue of Jiangsu beautiful people was established. This database are available for diagnosis and therapy of cranioMaxillofacial deficiency. Also, this database was attribute to Virtual Reality Orthopedic Surgery System. Methods:CranioMaxillofacial region in 21 Jiangsu beautiful people (11 men,10 women)were scanned by spira volumetric CT(GE lightspeed).3D craniofacial bone and soft tissue images were reformatted and 3D measurements were performed in South-east University Vision Workstation.selected 139 soft items tissue and 46 bone items were measured in the 3D craniofacial structure in screen, including distances,angleesd and ratios. All data were transferred into the database based on the Excel packages. There is all information of one case(such as number, distances, angles, et al)in one row; each column is a measurement item. The mean, standard deviation, t value and p value were calculated and the correlation, regression between several groups of measurement item were proceeded by computer automatically in the dynamic database. The Virtual Reality Orthopedic Surgery System was founded primarily. The database was used cliniclly. Results:In present study , The dynamic database of quantitative measurement of three-dimensional craniofacial tissue of Jiangsu beautiful people was established which can be used as standard of diagnosis and therapy. The Virtual Reality Orthopedic Surgery System was founded primarily. Conclusions:This database are available for diagnosis and threpy of croniomaxillofacial deficiency and obtained satisfactory results.
