Objective To study the protective effect of FS-1272 eye drop on D-Galatose induced rat cataract in vitro and the irritating reaction on rabbit eyes. Methods The model of D-Galatose induced rat cataract in vitro was established, lens opacity of six different groups was observed with inverted Microscope; What's more, glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX), superoxide dism-utase(SOD), catalase(CAT), malon dialdehyde (MDA) ,water soluble protein(WSP)and water insoluble protein(WIP) of the lenses were measured according to kit directions. However, the irritation study was carried out on tested rabbits in the way of homebody own control, eyes of the rabbits including (cornea, iritis and conjunctiva)were examined with hand-held slit lamp and being recorded in time according to the eye irritative response evaluation criterion. Results â‘ )After being incubated 24,48 and 72h, Lens opacity in the model group were much more severe than the nomal control group(P<0.01), but Lens opacity of the high-dosage FS-1272 eye drop group and the middle-dosage FS-1272 eye drop were much more slight than the model group(P<0.01); Lens opacity of the low-dosage FS-1272 eye drop was more slight than the model group(P<0.05); Lens opacity of the Pirenoxine sodium group was much more slight than the model group(P<0.01). â‘¡Results of biochemistric indexs: In the model group, the content of lens MDA and WIP were significantly increased, however, the content of lens SOD,GSH-PX, CAT and...
