Malignant tumor is a clinical frequent disease, threating the person's physical and mental healty severely. The death rate is second only to cardiovascular disease. Therefor, searching effective antitumor drugs and methods to overcome cancer thoroughly has been the important research topic of the world medical organizations.Drug treatment,operation cure and radiation therapy are the three methods of cancer therapy. The chem is still the essential means of cancer therapy,but the selectivity of chmo drugs to tumor cell is generally low at the present stage. The drug resistance and side effcet of tumor cell is large.So, it has been thinking highly of extratcting the active ingredient of antitumor from the Chinese traditional medicine.Ginseng is a valuable Chinese trdditional medicine in history,which has the effect of great nourishment of renal qi, calm the nerves, promote the production of body fluid, tomifying five zang organs and delay senile. Panaxoside Rh2 is the natural ingredient which is extracted from ginseng.Scholars have detective that to tumor cell panaxoside Rh2 has directive effect and to normal cell it has the effect of protection. Panaxoside Rh2 can also reduce the effect of noxious substance to induce apoptosis.
