Objective: Acute biliary pancreatitis (ABP) especially severe acute biliary pancreatitis (SABP) can be treated by endoscopic treatment except pharmacentical or surgery. But endoscopic interventional treatment may induce or aggravate pancreatitis, and whether it could change the natural course of ABP (especially SABP) , reduces its complications and mortality rate which also has some dispute at present,the main reason is lacking some comparative research and observation at this aspect.
